William maintains a broad civil and criminal practice, regularly appearing in the Magistrates’, county and higher courts.
His civil work includes being instructed for both claimants and defendants with particular experience in road traffic litigation and credit hire disputes.
In his criminal practice, William undertakes a wide range of defence work, including an array of motoring
offences and general crime. He has particular experience representing clients in motoring matters in the Magistrates’ Court,
including drink and drug driving, speeding, mobile phone use and careless driving as well as advancing arguments involving special
reasons and exceptional hardship.
William also has experience defending private prosecutions brought under the Trade Marks Act, Education Act and Environmental Protection Act,
as well as a range of other summary offences. He is regularly instructed in civil applications within the Magistrates’ Court, including Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, Sexual Risk Orders and Stalking Protection Orders.
In addition, William has experience representing the Police in the Magistrates’, County and High Courts for matters such as Public Interest Immunity
and disclosure applications in family proceedings.
